Best of 2010

This is the last day of 2010. I'll be leaving in a few hours to spend part of the evening with my friends, then going over to my boyfriend's to ring in the new year and meet his parents. I don't make New Year's Resolutions because you shouldn't wait until a new year comes around to change your life, but I do know what I want for the upcoming year.

This year has been full of ups and downs. I graduated high school, enjoyed prom, got myself a wonderful and gorgeous boyfriend, quit my job in June and enjoyed a carefree summer, got accepted to six universities, went away to university, lost weight, gained it and more back, dropped out of university, had (basically) a quarter-life crisis, grew out my hair, dyed it blue, dyed it black, cut it all off,  figured out what I want to do, and just kept on trying.

Why should I live up to anyone's expectations but my own?

A few shots from the past week or so. I've been getting in touch with my girly side a bit more lately; nails, makeup. It feels nice to put time and effort into the small details of my appearance.






For Christmas, my father got me a new camera (as seen in the previous post). Here's a few shots when I was playing around with my new toy:




And I did get some positive feedback for a makeup post. Decided to show my favourite things. I get a lot of my makeup from Sephora.

Merry Christmas

Spent the holidays with my family and that of my boyfriend's. Made green and red chocolate chip cookies for Christmas Eve, got amazing vintage jewellery from my father for Christmas (as well as a rape whistle..), spent a lot of time taking photos with my sister and cat for "family photos," finally learned how to do winged eyeshadow/eyeliner properly, got all dolled up for Christmas Eve, had insanely huge meals and all around, had a great time.
