A little late, better than never though?

Hey everyone! I'm sorry it's been such a huge gap in posting, it has just been a crazy week! I went to Toronto last weekend and moved Wednesday so things have been hectic.

Anyhoo, a few things from Toronto - my mom let it slip to the waiter that we were there for my birthday and this dessert came to us:

And, of course, we shopped! Found these incredible heels after trying on countless pairs (damn my irregularly massive feet!) but I can't really remember where.. I think the store started with a P, and it was in the Eaton Centre haha.
Got these badboys at Spring! My mom called them "hooker heels" and, if so, I am one highclass streetwalker, ladies and gentlemen! The girl next to me (who had the height and body of a twelve year old but face of an eighteen year old) was trying on every single heel in that store! I was so proud.
The tshirt was already mine (from Aritzia) but I got the cardigan and skirt while in T.O. The cardigan is from F Carriere and is incredibly comfortable! The pockets have small chain detail (which I'll take a more detailed picture of later) and is so soft it's almost like you're not even wearing it. The skirt, on the other hand, you really have to pay attention to. It's from H&M and I love the slightly faded pattern but, if you'll notice, it has a fold in the front and when the wind picks up... hello everyone! Pretty sure I let a truck full of men have a pretty great day.
And, once again, a cardigan. Also from H&M, this is thicker but still comfortable. I remember the cashier-man trying to fold it, it was possibly the highlight of my trip. He got so frustrated!
My favourite purchase from the weekend, my Zara shorts! I have been looking for the perfect denim shorts but all the ones I've found were too long - until I set my eyes on these beauties. I generally don't buy pre-torn shorts but because it's just a tiny but here and there, I found it acceptable.
I had bought a few more things (including three pairs of jeans from Gap, $20 off each! I really needed pants..) but here are some photos of my new room. I'm not completely unpacked yet, but I put most of my wardrobe away:
Yeah, that's a bunkbed. It's what all the cool kids have nowadays.

Sorry for the semi-awkward photographs, I got a new digital camera and it's a bit different (it can crop ON the camera! Am I the only person impressed by this?) but, surely, I'll figure it out.

Have a great weekend, regular posts to come!

Am I the opposition, am I in demand? I'm in the quicksand

Alright, so because I'm the coolest person on the planet I was looking on asos online today and saw these things and just thought they're really spectacular, especially the M by MJ shorts. It also comes as a bikini. And the unitard would be really handy because I could put it under a skirt or something and bam, supereasy coverage. And, um.. those heels.. I think my eyes actually popped out a little, no joke. I think they're gorgeous.

Something else I'd like to add: I had a dream about my blog last night (more proof of how cool I am) and I had zero to four comments per post and then for some strange reason I posted a video of my singing "I'm a player" by "The KGB" and all of a sudden over one hundred people commented on it and when I went back to normal posts, no one commented. Did another video of me singing, everyone did. Thing is, I admitted I couldn't sing and it was horrible. I was singing everything from Rihanna to All Time Low to Our Lady Peace and it was just weird. I kind of want to do it now because it'd be fun but it'd be so scary; when I say I'm a bad singer I don't mean "naah I'm great, I just want you to have low expectations" or even "Simon Cowell made me cry" (Cowell??). More along the lines of "ohmigod she's singing again... POLICE!"
Then again, I also once had a dream I was a vampire in Harry Potter and I killed He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named all on my own.
(quick addition to Coco from the comments in the last post: I think they're gorgeous too and I also think everyone can wear them. You should totally go for it!)

Some heroes aren't in the history books

Spent the night at my friend Ashley's house and nearly boiled alive - but that's ok, we watched The L Word. Sorry if I ruin anything for you fans (we're at season four) but I cannot believe Daina died! I mean, I know she had cancer but I thought she'd make it through, especially because of how much Alice loved her (it makes sense if you've seen it). I wish I could meet Papi in real life.
I also dyed my hair a tad darker (just a "golden dark blonde") and think it turned out well. It's not a massive difference but I like it and may make it darker come October or November. Anna and I hit Tim Hortons where she purchased one timbit. For those of you who don't live in Canada and therefor don't have a Timmie's... I pity you.

Blow out your candles

So it was my seventeenth birthday yesterday and although I'm going to Toronto next weekend with my mom for shopping, if I could get anything it would consist of:

the aa shiny tank dress. I think this dress is gorgeous! The sheen isn't overpowering and the backless design is great.
aa striped shortshorts. Can anyone believe these are actually considered "shorts"? I want to try them on to see just how short they are on me but I don't think I'd actually get them. I wouldn't want to wear tights underneath but I wouldn't want to put a minidress ontop either. Guess I'll just save them for your mom.
Balenciaga heels. How insanely, perfectly great are these? So futuristic yet wearable, I would willingly to do anything (anything!) to get a pair. Need a babysitter? Give me a pair of Balenciagas. Need someone whacked? ...Balenciagas!
La Senza garter belt. Ok, not this one exactly but I couldn't find the one I wanted. I just don't want this one because of the ruffles on the side (how do you wear that under something? Oh, that's right, it's not meant to be on for long. Sha-wing!).

(aa & lasenza online, google)

Also, are there any improvements or specific things you'd like to see on this blog? I know it's my blog but I'd like to keep you all interested. The main thing I'm going to be working on is quality of the outfit photographs (I just use my regular digital camera and my friends take the pictures, we're not very pro haha) but what would you like to see more/less of? Tell me your thoughts via comment section or email!

What time is it, Mr. Wolf?

I used to never wear watches and now I only wear one kind - a silver and blue Swatch Watch. Although I bought it for its simplicity, Swatch, and more specifically Matthew Langille, have been creating colourful and creative watches.

His work has been seen on flip-flops for Havaianas and t-shirts for Marc by Marc Jacobs and now he's moved onto watches. I love the childlike designs and colours and find it can add that extra "umph" you're looking for to any outfit.

The new watches are bold, using brighter colours and interesting designs, to show a fun-loving and attention seeking persona.
