This is my American Apparel "Legalize Gay" t-shirt. It says "Repeal Prop 8," referring to Proposition 8 which states that the same sex cannot get married. 
People speak of equality among genders, among races, and yet it seems that we are inable to let people love freely. In 2006, a man entered a Massachusetts gay-bar strictly with the intent to harm. He walked up to the pool table, pulled out his hatchet, and murdered one of the men. He began to make his way towards another man when a bystander hit him with a pool cue. He fled the crime scene and is still at large.
In July 2006, several gay men were beaten with baseball bats after a Gay Pride parade.
In 2001, a woman was spat on and stalked by a man as she was transgender.
I find it difficult to believe that someone has the audacity to tell others who they can and cannot love. Whether you agree with it or not is your own opinion but to make it illegal to cherish and spend the rest of your life with your soulmate is outrageous. Humanity has evolved enough to create electricity, we can fly from country to country, and we can perform open heart surgery and succeed. But we cannot allow same-sex marriage?To deprive those of showing their natural feelings is the true crime.
